According to the attorney, he has looked in to this particular situation, and there is nothing presently in the books preventing Ms.Hanfelder from holding both positions. Mr. Motil seemed to be alright with what is currently being planned by our newly elected Assessor and Supervisor, even though the previous attorney (and I KNOW he was crooked) had said that it couldn't be done, way back when it was first proposed... Maybe our excellent Road Commissioner (her boss for her currently held full-time position, 40 hours a week in the road department) needs to be made more aware of the clout his elected position carries (equal and separate of the Supervisor, NOT beneath). And, while he is still in office, to continue to not let himself be walked over by others of those in power (or, maybe just loud and rude) who have no intention of seeing him re-elected because he's not playing their ethically questionable games the right way. Thank you, Don (and Mel), for your efforts within the established "system" they have going on there. And, if someone powerful feels the need to make good on their threats because I AM going to be commenting on and criticizing this serious issue now happening within our township--with our tax dollars at stake--I've already been checked out by the EPA (a few times, now, I've made some enemies) and have always been in complete compliance. I think the bear has been poked with this blatant disregard of voter concerns and our tax dollars--and rightly so....Let your Township Supervisor know how you feel about it--they love phone calls. 931-1230
