He and the new board are now trying to "fix" all of Harry Briggs and Ralph Burnett's "behind closed door deals" with a few of the administrators & programs. They are uncovering situations that have caused this district big money and are having to eat Briggs' dealings. Brigg's legacy has to be Granite City's worst superintendent EVER! He manipulated and "politicized" the old board into some very poor decisions. The school district money crunch is here and Greenwald should give up his $500/month mileage check for the good of the cause. He's making enough of a salary. He does not need that $6,000/year. Let's remember...president Scroggins and VP Daily and members Dillard & McKechan are still leftover from the Briggs-Burnett debacle. I hope they are not being influenced like they were so many times before. Thank GOD the new board members of Jones, Hagnauer plus incumbent Yates are trying to level the playing field.
