I know we got off topic...but as president...here is how we can maybe reform education... I sometimes like the idea of privatized education... Maybe sell off public schools and open education inc... No I don't like that idea truthfully... But can you imagine a school selling itself by the results of the test scores? Every kid gets a $7,000 education voucher...then the schools 'play the market' on how much more to charge. This way the government pays to educate each child...but it's Education Inc.'s job to figure out how to set high standards, maintain the plants, operations, food service...etc. If a school scores low, then education inc. will lose credibility as a business. I don't like the idea for a number of reasons... However, the market will tend not to look at the surname of the teacher...but their qualifications and their ability to keep the school full with customers....errr...kids. Current private schools will still be in the market place as they have always been, but the $7,000 voucher follows the kid wherever they go.
