I think that was handled really well on both sides. I am glad to hear they were there out of a sincere heart to help and not condemn.
Women in such a position do need someone to care and someone to turn to. Someone to let them know their options and to actually speak truth to them. I have heard women say they would rather abort their baby than to give it up for adoption - that is a sad choice to me. Saying something that I do not believe they fully grasp the finality of - being to caught up in the stress of the situation and not being able to think things through.
Dr. Ray and Ginger, there are so many folks here in the US who would love to adopt a newborn baby. Many go outside of the US however, due to the lack of options here. From what I understand it is not an easy thing to adopt a newborn here. As for my family, fostering is not something we are interested in doing. That takes a very special family to be able to do that loving and gracious service for a child.
