I probably shouldn't interject but I don't think she meant it as literally as it is being taken.
I think it is meant to be a sarcastic post as though this is so great and creating wonderful self-supporting jobs, when in fact the wages are low compared to the cost of living.
I also think she was trying to point out that it may cause others to loose their jobs from other places if their business slows due to people purchasing grocery items at Walmart.
So viewing the article then as having a veiled downside and only portraying the upside that they want the public to see. Could be wrong - but I think that is where she was going with it. If I am wrong - sorry for attempting to speak for you chellebelle.
