This one will have to look into a little more. Curious though if you could touch on the examples I gave in that previous post in regards to the SC decisions. How they came to those conclusions and so few years from the writing of the actual constitution itself and one of the justices on the US SC being a gentleman that Madison appointed himself? You would think if that was entirely not the purpose of the constitution (being founded on Christian principles) there would have been an uproar back then. The one case having 87 precedents - that in itself shows a long history of similar thinking that would have stretched back to the founding fathers. If this was not something they had intended why not say something from the beginning? Also in 1813 Jefferson helped to found the Virginia Bible society. This deist seems to have thought enough of the Christian God to promote him.
