Sandy, I grew up in the '60's but at that time there were still little grocery stores or confectionaries within walking distance of every home. I loved walking to the corner confectionary on 27th St. near the park with my friends, buying a Grape Crush and then walking through the park. Then of course on the way back, we would turn in the bottles for penny candy. It's the simple things that are the most memorable.
