We lived at the very back of a subdivision with our property backing up to common ground with a lake. Some of my favorite memories are taking my childhood dog Pumpkin (a golden retriever) out to the lake and playing fetch, or exploring the woods. Or when the lake froze over, walking out to the island in the middle and "ice skating" on it.
I am going to cry when my parents move out of that house.
