I'm always disappointed in how worked up we get over "rumors". If the man was allowed to fill out an application and take a test, good for him. Had he been stopped from doing so the village would have been sued by the EEOC on behalf of Mr. Harshany. Remember, the man was never convicted of a crime. Would I want to see him hired? That's another case.
That being said, I came to know a little about the new Mayor through the information provided me by one of the other party candidates. To quote, " Mr. Pagano seems to be genuinely concerned about doing the right thing for the people of Pontoon." I would advise all not to put a great deal of stock in the rumor mill. When the rumor becomes fact, complain and do it loudly. Until then, put your faith in those you elected until they let you down.
