At first read, I felt alot of sacarsm in your reply. I don't know if it was meant that way or not, but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt.
Hey, I'll be the first to admit I'm not perfect. I go to church because I need to, because I should, not to advertise. If you only had to attend once to 'have an affect', churches wouldn't be around long and we'd all get along a lot better. Too bad it's not that easy.
As for trying to eek out a living, why sneak around about it? Why wait until everyone is inside, do your round of the parking lot and surrounding street, and then run off? That's not eeking out a living, it's being opportunistic. Why not meet these people he's so desparate to reach. The flyer irritates, perhaps meeting a person who is trying to work and do good would have a stronger affect. People would have more of a chance of saying, "Hey, this guy's trying, I'm going to give him a go". You really want to reach those church goers?? Put your ad in their bulletin, trust me, they will give you that courtesy.
I will give someone crap about placing a 'friggin flyer' on my windshield. I don't touch others property uninvited, I only ask the same.
No, Porsche isn't for me, too overpriced, I can get better performance domestically and much more economically. Don't care for the Rolls either. They're tanks, very nice, but still a tank. Doesn't matter if I drive a Ford Escort, it's still mine, doesn't give anyone a right to touch it.
No, he didn't damage my little car. But what if he had? Would he wait for me to come out and own up to it or would he just run off? In truth, my windshield is cracked on the driver side, what if I were the kind of person to say it wasn't broken before the flyer were there? Would make me a no-good-jerk for sure, but what would he do? What is his defense? "No, I didn't do that." I would expect that very response. Not very believable from someone handling anothers property without permission.
No, if he in some way intimidated me, I suppose he would be mowing my lawn. He irritated me, which is the whole point of a rant, to vent due to irritation.
As I said, maybe I am excited over nothing.
Yes, 'We' catholics do say that. Additionally, when I say it, I do mean it.
We also say, "and also with you". I mean that too.
