So far as our next president being one who favors domestic oil production, I'm game. The surest way to keep costs low, is increase supply, [and lessen demand.] The technology to eliminate our need for fossil fuels [for energy generation], are ever increasing, as more technology catches up with the need for cheaper, cleaner energy. My long term concern for our oil is not that it will still be stuck in the ground instead of my gas tank when needed, but rather that this country will miss out on it's opportunities to advance herself by manufacturing non-energy related oil products, allowing that potentially added prosperity to go elsewhere. Yes we should drill now, every were we can. [safely] But I don't think we will be using oil in 25 years as a primary source of energy. The products we can produce from that oil, will still be needed 50 years out.
