No , I don't tend to agree with your reasoning. 1. I'm not a Christian and I would not bash those who are.
Never said you would, I have met many pleasant people who are Christians, and many pleasant people who are not Christian. I think you are one of the more reasonable and respectful people around here.... You have more respect for other's opinions than about 90% of Americans....
3. The ranting she went on, smells like someone who has a limited social capacity and can't handle anyone who has opinions, views, ideas or beliefs that differ from their little bubble.
That's not limited to Christianity or any other faith or belief system, there are obnoxious people everywhere.
My point was that I have seen many times on discussion forums where someone who has a chip on their shoulder about Christianity, just either out of contempt for the faith, or feel like they were wronged by someone who claimed to be a Christian, will try to impersonate a Christian, and ramble of harsh statements such as the one she made to try to give Christianity a black eye.
I have seen similar strategies attempted in political discussions too, where a person of one party will try to pretend as though they are a member of the opposing side, what better way to discredit them than to act like you are one of them, and deliberately make a fool of yourself? (while pretending to be one of them).
I think this has far more to do with the local election, than anything to do with faith or evolution, etc....
