I think it's these teachers I worry about. They are more than adequate to be teachers but they might at times get boring. They may at times be prone to snapping. Some of these teachers, still in the decent teacher category are prone to bullying as well. What I mean is that they are prone to getting bullied by the students. A person may know their stuff, may care and may even have an effective methodology - but some a$$#0!@ kid may start making jokes about how fat she is or to how he dresses. Effective classroom management can diffuse the problem - but sometimes it wears the teacher down and sending students to the office is really not effective if the students themselves don't even care. They would care if they had hell to pay when they got home for making a total @$$ of themselves in class. Norad's cartoon hit the nail on the head! If that mentality would prevail, education would change overnight.
