Change is often good. And new blood, mixed with old can do many good things. However, as I've stated many times before on here, when given the opportunity to help a family member or friend, most of us would fall to the tempations that current elected officals do. Those who say different probably have no family or they are a bit naive to politics. I do think it is awesome that there are so many candidates for offices in Dee's post. Alarming to me is the small amount of aldermanic candidates. With all the complaints about out city streets and so forth, I thought there would be more. In several of those races incumbents are facing incumbents because of the new ward bounadaries. The Partney/Kambarian/McDowell race should be interesting. My guess is that with the five "new" wards, we will see at least seven returning aldmermen.
