For that matter, shouldn't everyone just stay at home on Thanksgiving? After all, like stated before, QT doesn't close, and if you drive somewhere you might need gas, and plus then more police officers need to be on duty because there's traffic on the roads. People should spend their holiday whichever way they choose. Alot of employers that stay open on holidays give their employees choices of which holiday is most important for them to have off. As for myself when I was working, Thanksgiving sure wasn't on my list of days to have off. I was more concerned with having Christmas off. They can do just as I did when I was working, and my family had to do when I was growing up. If me (or my mother when I was growing up....she was a nurse) worked evenings, then we had our meal around lunchtime. If we worked days, then we had it in the evening. Granted you get holiday pay for Thanksgiving if you don't work it, but double time on that holiday is much better!
