I have read, then re-read this article to make sure I didn't miss something. Here is a direct quote from the article that was posted in the "you have the floor" section.
These are Jon Ferry's words..."The Heusers bought the property for $14,900 from the city, which purchased it for $216,000 in 2005. The city acquired the building and surrounding land to prepare for the construction of a new overpass on Pontoon Road."
You can clearly see why anyone might get the impression that the city took a big loss on this land deal. If the city was "given" this property, where on earth did Mr. Ferry come up with his figure of $216,000?
