There must be an immediate demand for all governmental entities to live within their means, like a business--and not the "best case scenario", wishful thinking, and real-world denial, that they have based their budgets on. And as unbelievable as it may seem, even the big dogs in government should take a salary cut, instead of cutting out the little dogs who work for them or by raising taxes on every thing they can come up with. Has anyone taken a close look at your cell phone bill lately? Have you EVER SEEN so made surcharges, taxes, etc.? It's nuts. It pisses me off that those who make the higher salaries in our government, protect themselves and all their extended family and friends who they have hooked up with sweet ass government or township jobs, JUMP to increase taxes to ensure that their fat salaries with primo benefits remain untouched and that their family and friends remain employed. Nameoki Township is a prime example. How many McKechans can the township and county employ????????? Who says it's not who you know, but..... Why is it that everyone employed at the Metro East Sanitary District is either a township supervisor, school board member, former county board member, grandchild or relative of all those mentioned above??????????? I mean seriously folks? Maybe now you understand why the sewer bills have sky rockted...a whole lot of local officials and their family members need to keep their day jobs.
