I'm a friend of Bill W.
But I am not, and thanks be to God, never have been an alcoholic. I am not affiliated with alcoholics anonymous.
Actually I said I don't know BN but I know who BW is.
I support the cause and some of the real friends of Bill W. really are good people and once they have seriously engaged in the twelve people, their goodness really does shine forth.
I forgot what context I was talking about Bill W.
I'd be more of a fan than a friend I guess.
I still have a drink when I feel like it. My days of overdoing it are left back in my early 20's.
