HORSESHOE LAKE, and the one in Madison County, not Alexander County is the SECOND LARGEST natural lake in Illinois, and the LARGEST contained entirely within the State of Illinois.

Look it up....

Lake Illinois, formerly Lake Michigan, would be the largest overall natural lake in Illinois, but it shares territory in other states.

So there you have it....one way to Make Granite city Great Again is start naming things after Granite City.

If Madison wants their avenue, make them pay for it, make Maryville pay for Maryville Road, and Make Edwardsville pay for Edwardsville road in full....before we yank that damn name off every sign in Granite City...and make it the little road that goes back to Opinionated's Liberal Lake!

Second largest city in Southern Illinois (for a little while longer) and being located next to the largest natural lake within Illinois....

And Granite City has to settle for unknown status beyond 50 miles away from the City Limits?

Nonsense, it's time to make Granite Great again, and put our schools and sports teams on WINNING STREET and let's go from there.
