Immigration was already a campaign issue, it had zero to do with this do nothing legislation. You dont wait 3.5 years after saying the border is secure and then try to do a quick, ineffective, bandaid non fix because you are feeling the heat. Trump didnt kill anything, he didnt have a vote.
