This newly appointed bigot has no place on our school board. I read the garbage all over her Facebook, and she declared she was walking away from FB because Mark Zuckerberg allowed content that goes against her beliefs.
Another left leaning bleeding-heart liberal lunatic that got her feelings hurt and permanently damaged when Hillary lost the election. So she is really going to show ole Zuckerberg and walk away from Facebook, I hope he and the staff slept okay after her declaration.

I am not on Facebook much, but I am leaving this social media platform. I am not leaving because of hateful remarks made to me or my friends for our opinions. I am not leaving because of the deplorable images streaming along my thread. I am a firm believer that we MUST ALL see what is happening around us. I think everyone of us should watch the horrible and unnecessary murder of a man by a police officer with his hands casually placed in his pockets as his fellow public servants stand by and do nothing, even at times turning their backs on the crime scene. The key to democracy is an informed people.
Americans think that a “right” means you don’t have to be accountable. We are ALL responsible for what happens in our neighborhoods, our villages, our cities, our country. Many of us turn our backs on the injustices around us. Most of the time this happens as a sin of omission or worse, the sin of silence. I will do my best to not commit these sins now. I can no longer live this way. I will not turn my back or remain silent. BLACK LIVES MATTER! For those who want to say ALL lives matter, sure, but this is not about you—us with a paler shade of skin tone. I stand or take a knee with my black fellow Americans. I wish I could do so much more…
Yes, we have the freedom of speech, an unheard-of concept when our founding fathers stated it in our Bill of Rights. Free speech is a sacred right, but with that right comes great responsibility. Leadership, actions, and WORDS have incredible power, and they should never be used as a weapon of destruction or to simple gain points in a poll or followers on a social media site. Supreme Court Justice, Oliver Wendell Holmes, Jr. wrote the opinion in Schenck v. United States in 1919 concerning free speech: “The most stringent protection of free speech would not protect a man FALSELY shouting fire in a theatre and causing a panic…The question in every case is whether the words used are used in such circumstances and are OF SUCH A NATURE AS TO CREATE A CLEAR AND PRESENT DANGER THAT THEY WILL BRING ABOUT THE SUBSTANTIVE EVILS that Congress has a right to prevent (Emphasis added).”
Our leadership uses words, images, and social media to spew hatred, fear, and divisiveness. President Trump speaks about Americans as if he hates that we even exist. I love free speech and all the other rights we had bestowed on us. It is my right, but I must earn, uphold, and protect that privilege. I believe Mark Zuckerberg failed us, his employees, his clients, and his country. As reported by the New York Times yesterday, “Facebook’s principles and policies supporting free speech ‘show that the right action where we are right now is to leave this up…’” was Zuckerberg’s response to his employees for not flagging or removing Trumps posts. I am disappointed he did not have the courage to stand up to a bully who wants to turn our military against his own people for his own glorification. I cannot condone this. Now this is why I leave Facebook. I cannot support a company that blatantly disregards the rants that “…CREATE A CLEAR AND PRESENT DANGER THAT THEY WILL BRING ABOUT THE SUBSTANTIVE EVILS.”
Another crybaby snowflake having influence over our schools, great, just great!
