I took my wiper motor out last fall to clean it up and paint it but now that I have it back in the car things are not the same. It never had much power before but now it won't even make one revolution with the wipers hooked up. When I disconnect the crank arm that pushes and pulls the wipers it will run all day. I can move the wiper arms easily by hand so I know nothing is binding up. The brushes in the motor are good and the armature is smooth and clean. What could be the problem here?? Also I would gladly purchase a new wiper motor if I could find one but I have not seen the square bodied motors for a long time. Any ideas??
Thanks. P.J.
