Neither would I Nancy, as far as that battery, a GREAT deal for just $7.00

This is kind of like this CB that got so hot it smelled of burning or near burning electronics, did ruin the internal speakers, but it hasn't happened again and runs perfect, including the batteries charging properly, staying at 100%, since I use it primarily plugged in.

My guess is that something like a spider crawled in some how and got SMOKED, LOL
