Uncle Al was in the Seabees. He was in one of the main compounds when the first planes came in. Mom's cousin was across the yard from him and Uncle Al said he was talking (hollering) across there, Abe was there one minute and gone the next. He said there was a weighted closed coffin sent home, but he knew for a certainty that whatever pieces of Abe was there, was buried in a common grave with pieces of the others that were killed.
