There must be also some popular opinion, or group, somewhere wanting that requirement to continue. A newpiece linked earlier in this thread reported about a group of parliamentarians, who appear to want the male line preserved.
Without any popular support, would IHA take the fight?
And, what sense is in such stance for career bureaucrats of IHA? If the line goes extinct or loses popular support, they would find themselves unemployed.
Monarchs' courts have usually been eager to have successors - to accept females etc, if so needed.
Could anyone name motivations of the opposing camp, the one which wants to preserve male-line succession?
is male line really so important to them? and why? what nominal reasons? what real reasons?
