I have to say that I somewhat agree with What?!-Whomever he/she is. I think if you have spent any time on this board, you have read discussions on how many nurses become AAs. We know they exist, but it is just rare. Thats awesome that you are a nurse, but why go to the trouble to go to AA school if you already have your BSN...Just go be a CRNA. Its the same thing (mid-level anesthesia that is)...just a different route of getting there. Especially if you have taken all those pre-med pre-reqs, you should have the upper hand on your colleagues. He/She is right though-a masters degree is still a masters degree. What you are asking is the very same thing as: Can a Physician's Assistant who was a nurse before go back and get their APRN? Of course it is possible, but totally unnecessary considering they do the EXACT same thing. No bridge programs exist. I doubt they ever will. Good luck though with all that.
