I agree it seems that the recert. might appear to be a easier assuming the pass rate is 100% and the initial rate is much lower. I have no clue what the content is of either, for I have not taken them. However, I believe its strictly due to the exposure and repetition. It's like learning something for the first time is hard to understand because its something you are not used to seeing or doesn't make sense conceptually. But once you see case after case after case, the knowledge is just pounded into your brain and it becomes second nature. My point is the recert test may be just to ensure the MDA is practicing and learning the things they need to to ensure patient care and safety. As we all would probably agree, learning on-the-job has a greater learning curve than classroom jargon or even clinicals for that matter. Just a thought...
