propofol always burns....that's one of the side affects.
Ive never heard of an allergy...I suppose it is possible. If you think of MH, there are certain triggering agents, and Diprivan is not one of them...thus, it is widely used, and it should have a low allergy rate (if any).
Modeling could be a side effect of how you were administered to. Maybe your anesthesiologist blew your IV because he pushed your meds too fast... there are so many variables....
IV induction is the basis of anesthesia. There is a reason they give you IV anesthesia for general anesthesia. I haven t seen any studies, but Im willing to bet it is considered "safer."
