Go to medical school! It seems like that's where your heart is and your original goal in life, if you don't go you might always contemplate or regret. I don't know what the AA's you shadowed said about their education period, but the ones I talked to said its no joke. Its a lot of work too, obviously not as long as medical school, but its also going to require A LOT of study time. AA school is a very condensed program, don't think its an "easier" way, you have to be very committed. If you've already been accepted to med school, do it, you've come this far and people would kill to be in your situation academically. I take graduate courses at the college of medicine and I personally know of a couple of med students who are raising kids by themselves and have no problem. Just know that your child will be your spare time, and there may not be much time for yourself. If you are ok with this (which it seems you are because you don't want anyone else raising them), then I think you should def go med! Once again, the AA's I talked to love their jobs too, so I don't think you will be disappointed if you are an AA, just may have the "what if's" haunting you since you've been accepted!
