I'm glad to finally see some good discussion on here. I'm considering getting my AA-C. I am currently a PA-C and at that time will maintain both certifications. I understand what Stanley is getting at in reference to the MEDICAL board being in control. However, even under this set-up there is still much autonomy (speaking from experience). Regardless, we are all (NP,PA, CRNA, AA) MIDLEVEL providers and ultimately are over-ruled by a MD/DO. So my question is this, what difference does it make that PA-C or AA-C is under the Medical vs Nursing board?
