    Confused now! Archived Message

Hey guys.. so what's the deal with the AA/CRNA debate? I've read some posts above and it sounds as if CRNAs are favored above AAs because their certification is more widely accepted? My background is Biology-Genetics and I've always had an interest in Anesthesiology - and now that I know UMKC has a program, I've considered applying. But after reading these posts - I've had some serious doubts.. would an AA degree not be respected? Why would i want to work on a team where I might be considered of lesser "value" becuase I don't have a nursing background? I'm not choosing a side, I just don't understand.. Is the AA degree moving toward greater acceptance? insights anyone? I welcome all CONSTRUCTIVE feedback, please. Negativity doesn't belong in the patient care arena - especially if it's arguments over salary!! thanks!!
