Wow!! I can't believe that you have to go through that... I have never seen that kind of hostility toward neuro monitoring techs before.... and I do A LOT of Neuro and Ortho surgery...Sorry to hear that. From what I have been told, when CRNA's and AA's are working side by side, there is no hostility....Now I dont know how they feel when they go home or anything, but from what I have been told there is none....Now on the other hand, there are the childish CRNA's that have never worked with AA's and feel that their TONKA Trucks or BARBIE Dream House are being taken away from them...(As I hope you know, people do not take change very well)...Some of those people frequent this board to try to deter you and others from wanting to become an AA.....It seem to me that you might have to do some inside investigative work thats all...It is about whether you want to do Anesthesia or not...That is your only question to yourself because you will find SOME version of negativity in every work environment...
