My job required specific restrictions on anesthesia used on patient's during surgery when neuromonitoring is in use. This includes limit to inhalational agents, NMB, and sometimes even limits on propofol infusions. Although some are nice and compliant with our requests, CRNA's see evoked potential tech (me) walk in and are many times very hostile and uncooperative. I have had a broad range of incidents on the job ranging from verbal abuse to CRNA's physically throwing things at me (I am not kidding).

When I say I am worried about being despised, I mean I am worried about the negative interactions I read on this board and others that CRNA's seem to have against AA's. I watch CRNA's daily, and I know that I would enjoy the work and challange in my life, but i do not wish to graduate and find myself in a similar negative situation as I am currently in. I want some feedback from others out there who are currently working side by side with CRNA's and AA's. Is there a difference? Is getting a job difficult? Do you experience negative and hostile work environments?

    Does that make more sense?
