Most master levels programs require some sort of research paper in which you have to demonstrate your ability to collect information, draw conclusions and present it all in a rational manner. If someone can not write even at a high school level, they are just dreaming about their chances of getting into a masters program. My "helping hand" is pointing out one of the biggest factors they have to overcome if they truly wish to get into any profession.
I did not mention verbal skills nor did I mention those who use English as a second language.
And by the way, your writing skills could use some work also.
