DD is confusing her terms and thus weaking her argument. (Not that it was all that valid to start.) One should not make statements that are easy to prove are wrong. If she went to court and testified like she comments in this room, the lawyers would rip her apart on cross.
"NURSE ANESTHESTISTS have been around for well over a century. 140 years in fact. Starting with the American Civil War.
"CRNAs" have been around since 1945 when the first certification exam was given. That is only 62 years. Hardly "close to a century."
While some use the two terms interchangeably and for the most part that is OK, in the historical context, it is not.
