Your problem is that you expect the job to change to fit your needs. You don't seem to be the least bit interested in meeting the requirements of the job. If this is really the type of personality you have, you will severely limit your job opportunities. Unless you could present a compelling case that you are filling some unique void in my department, I wouldn't think about hiring you with the attitude you convey - you wouldn't even make it to the interview.
Your problem is also typical of many of the students and recent graduates I come across. They have little dedication to the job - their primary concern is themselves. What can I get? How much can I make? Why do I have to work overtime? Why do I have to work weekends? Why can't I just do easy cases and let someone else that wants to do hard cases do them? There is a difference between a job and a profession.
