Don't choose medicine because you want to make money. There are much better ways to make money & the reimbursements are constantly being lowered in medicine. If you want to make money go into business. You need to have very noble motives to go into medicine, because you will have a very demanding schooling & career & won't make as much money for your time as you would doing many other things. If you don't have a reason for doing that, you will resent your career. Some of our medical equipment sales reps make more money than the docs they sell to. Also, if you want to negotiate your terms of contract as an AA, you can. But you may have a hard time finding employers who will need you at 9 am or later. You'd have better luck negotiating call or part-time (3 or 4 days a week) work.
