The hospitals I have worked in usually start surgery at 7:30am, this means you need to be there around 6:30. Cases go on all day and there are usually a few late rooms going on past 5pm. There are two MDs on call and then the CRNA/AA covers the rest, which is only a few rooms. I dont think a CRNA/AA works past 7 or 8pm but once in a blue moon. Also, no call and no weekends. Not a bad gig at this particular hospital.
