Appreciate the info. I guess it's just wishful thinking and being nostalgic on my part; through my college years, I really enjoyed having a routine during most semesters of having morning classes (e.g., 8 AM - 11 AM or 12 PM), then leaving and doing my exercise, and then returning for my first afternoon class at 2 or 3 PM. I know that my schedule is definitely not going to be like that in AA school, but I had just the slighest, faintest hope that there might be a possibility of negotiating a similar work schedule when I graduated.

However, before anyone attacks me for having the audacity to state what I stated in the preceeding paragraph, understand that I DO realize that surgeries are scheduled constantly and not according to my personal schedule, and I understand that surgeons and patients aren't going to plan their schedules around my little routine.

Having said that, I would still be willing to consider a schedule that involves either taking nothing but call shifts or filling in the "gaps" in coverage in some other manner.
