I know several anesthetists (granted, they are CRNA's and are able to take call without an anesthesiologist present) whose work weeks are all based around taking varying call shifts, and they all make full-time pay and yet never work more than 25-30 hours per week. They choose the shifts
When will those guys grow up, right?
Give me a break -- inquiring as to the mere POSSIBILITY of arranging a flexible work schedule as an anesthetist is an entirely legitimate question, and the fact is that there are anesthetists who work outside of the traditional 7-3 schedule.
As an aside, I think it's so funny how the various jackasses on this forum love to chime in with variants of "You need to grow up!" whenever someone else has the audacity to make even the meekest inquiry regarding work schedules, salaries, hiring trends, or any other benefit of being an AA. I hope not all AA's are as self-righteous and politically correct.
