I am still really surprised about how competitive Emory was for this cycle. With a number of people holding master's degrees and stats that are more competitive than mine getting turned down without an interview, what is the "secret formula" for getting that coveted interview offer from Emory?
Oh well - hopefully it will end up being their loss. I was actually waitlisted at one of Nova's programs last year (Tampa), and I have improved my application, so hopefully I will get interviews at their programs.
It's kind of weird, though... I received an interview offer from the Tampa program last year but not the Fort Lauderdale program. Is the Fort Lauderdale program regarded as generally being more competitive? I would really like to interview there so I can compare the facilities, areas, etc. Out of curiosity, do both Nova campuses have completely different admissions committees, or does one admissions committee review applications received by both programs and then decide if they want to interview a particular applicant at just one school, both schools, or no schools at all?
