I guess the question here is, why do you think you are still scoring so low if we are operating on the assumption you are an otherwise intelligent individual? It doesn't make sense that you studied really really hard and still got below 50th percentile. Like anything in life, these are just screening tools.
Can you be a perfectly competent anesthetist with a <50th percentile GRE? Of course. But the reality is why should Emory pick you over the same guy who got 80th percentile with a 3.6 GPA? If it's any consolation my friend got in on her 3rd try and she's a great anesthetist, so good luck to you.
