.) Your first year you are only at one day a week and so is the Ft. Lauderdale campus then there is a progression to 2 days a week. Please note we are still in school 4-5 days a week still.
.) The clinical sites are rotated so that each student, before they leave for their senior year will have experience in office, surgery center and hospital settings.
.) Your clinical sites for senior year are given to you according to what is best for you. There are local sites and you can stay locally if necessary but the program would rather send you to the best pediatric (or whatever specialty) hospital in the country if they can to get you the best experience possible. Ft. Lauderdale has the same protocol!
.) The whole HPD (health professions divison) of Nova is allowed to show tests to students once they have been turned in. This was implemented after a large scale cheating scam/scandal in one of the other HPD programs. After our tests you are given a sheet with your grade and the topic of each question on the test and whether or not you missed it.
.) Our schedules are a little last minute but do realize that there has to be a coordination of multiple practicing AA's, MD's and other teachers. We get schedules on a month to month basis. As for cancellations, do realize that our MD's are on call!
