THANK YOU for acknowledging I'm not hearing things! When Emma said she pronounces it the same way I do, I thought, "Hmm, maybe it's a coincidence that Muppet, TMT, and all those gardeners pronounce it differently! Maybe they all come from the same part of the country or something?"

What is weird is that the English use of the word (apparently it's Greek) must surely have started in Britain, and yet they pronounce it differently from how it's spelled! You'd've thought all the countries which derived their language from Great Britain (like the U.S.) would've said it that way too.
