She was a MAJOR hero and inspiration to me but she wasn't perfect. Had she retired at 80 when President Obama was still President, a Democratic president could have appointed her replacement, and so many civil rights issues, such as abortion, voting rights, gun restrictions, etc., wouldn't have been endangered. Also, it is simply unacceptable that in 40 YEARS on the federal bench-- 25 on the Supreme Court and 13 on the D.C. Circuit Court-- she hired over 125 law clerks and ONLY ONE of them was Black.
I haven't watched this documentary yet but I'm very much looking forward to doing so.
