Yes, I also have no interest in reading/writing ones that are cruel. I need to feel they've come from a place of caring about the person in some way for me to enjoy it.

Also, I was recently thinking about how there are some things I enjoy writing/reading about that I wouldn't actually enjoy in reality. One of those things is the washing out of mouth with soap. I like it in fiction but if someone did it to me in reality, I think I would feel upset and resentful rather than sorry and remorseful.

I originally included it in one of my stories because it seemed very right for the top character's personality. I felt sort of fascinated by it and also experimented with soaping my own mouth to get a good idea of what it feels/tastes like (spoiler alert: it's awful) to write about it. Honestly, if someone gave me the punishments I describe in my stories, I would NOT take it well. However, still like it in stories... hmm..
