I was off duty when all that happened but I remember it well. I remember that Friendship Airport had their own police department and that one of their officers, Barry Crizer, went thru our Academy with us then left there to PG. County. I worked airport detail just one day, it was $5.00 an hour but I couldnt stand the boredom of just standing there doing nothing. Butch and Spike did a fantastic job that day. Both are heroes in my book!
