All three were cancelled under the terms of the 1921 Washington Naval Treaty of 1921. The smallest is the French NORMANDIE Class. A couple were laid down but never completed, although one, BEARN was completed as an aircraft carrier.

The middle one is the planned British battlecruisers of the G 3 Class. None were laid down.

The last is the U.S. CONSTELLATION Class of which two, LEXINGTON and SARATOGA were under construction, but were converted to aircraft carriers under the allowances of the treaty.

What could have also been included here were the Japanese KAGA and AKAGI, two more capital ships under construction that were likewise converted to carriers.
