There a few steps before you get to the actual implants. They removed my breast and I woke up with expanders. Expanders are used to stretch the skin to get you to the size you want to be. You go to the plastic surgeon every couple of weeks and they feel the expanders with a saline solution to stretch the skin. The expanders are hard but I don't remember them being cold. Once you get to the size you're comfortable with, you have another surgery and they remove the expanders and replace them with implants. The actual implants are very soft and feel really close to your normal breast. They are soft and are not cold they feel like the rest of your body.
