I have guns with the x,xx, and xxx designation on them but not on an A-1. That does seem very unusual, but you never say never with Smith guns. The A-1 does fall in that timeline of the "X" guns. I would like to take a survey of the missing x guns to see what grades show up among our members and the serial numbers of those guns. I am sure David W. already has some of those. Mike
